Romano: AC Milan ‘confident’ that Ibrahimovic will stay for one more year

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ‘confident’ that they will be able to secure the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic for one more year, it is claimed.

After lots of back and forth in the media about possible disagreements over salary and an imminent signature, Romano has hopefully put the situation to bed by claiming that the Swede will remain a Rossoneri player in 2020-21 too.

He has stated on Twitter that Milan are now ‘confident’ that they will be able to extend Ibrahimovic’s deal for one year more, until June 2021.

Zlatan wants to stay and play again in Serie A and as a result the agreement is getting closer.

At the age of 38 the former PSG and Manchester United striker showed exactly what he can bring to the team, netting 11 times in all competitions and helping a group of players bounce back from a poor start to the season to end it with 9 wins (and zero defeats) in their last 12 games.
