Romano: Feyenoord take interest in Milan Primavera gem – the situation

By Ben Dixon -

The transfer window is rapidly approaching, and while excitement will be growing about the names that may arrive at AC Milan, there are also fears about which players could leave the Rossoneri.

Following last summer’s exits, there has been a hangover fear, so to speak, about the possibility of this replicating, but Milan’s stance is that no one must be sold. With that in mind, though, if bids arrive that are too good to refuse, the club will listen.

While this is likely referring to the club’s stars, Milanistas will want this to apply to young talent as well, given there is likely to be interest in some of the players emerging from the Youth ranks.

One of those players is Jan-Carlo Simic. The Serbian defender recently was called up to the National Team for the European Championships, a sign of the trust in his ability at such a young age, and his performances in the senior side are why he deserves the recognition.

A solid defender who plays like someone much his senior, the Rossoneri have a real gem on their hands, but there is a chance that he will not be in the red and black for much longer. On his X account, Fabrizio Romano stated that Feyenoord have an interest in Simic but acknowledged the fact that Milan have already been in contractual talks with the youngster.

This interest will likely continue until he is given a new deal by the club, and perhaps it will extend past his new contract. However, the Diavolo must protect their gem.

  1. Same situation just like with Kerkez.
You had a coach that didn’t play them with the 1st team so they had to play for the Primavera. Another club, again from the Holland league, is offering them a chance to not only play more but start. At that age playing regularly is more important than what team you play for.
Don’t know if he wants to stay and be used sparingly by the new coach.
Best case scenario is to resign and to be sent on loan, unless the new coach sees him as a major contributor next season. But based on his contract situation, if he doesn’t want to resign, he has to be sold this summer. No more gifting players to other teams.

    1. To be fair with Kerkez, it’s not like he would get in ahead of Hernandez. The club were daft to sell so low with no good ability to buy back though, that was really short sighted – he’d be the perfect replacement if Theo did get sold.

  2. I’ll be really disappointed if they sell him 2 be honest. We need a cb and are shopping for one or even two, meanwhile we have him who’s obviously ready to play

  3. If simic is only evaluated as a AC Milan B player then it’s maybe a good idea to give him to Feyenoord on loan with no buy option. On the other hand if you think he can be a back up option for 1st team then keep him no matter what.

        1. Anyone who thinks the owners are able to get even a cent (or a penny) from Milan’s transfers is INSANELY CLUELESS.

          1. Milan record a good profit last year after been in the red for years. So yes, obviously Gerry can take a single cent or a lot more from the transfe for his own pocket.

And i’m sure Gerry can get his 7th or 8th yacht and a whole new mansion when this summer he sell Mike, Tomori, Theo, Thiaw, Teao, and Benna while kids like you crying like a b*tch lol.

          2. Kids like me? 😀 😀 😀

“So yes, obviously Gerry can take a single cent or a lot more from the transfe for his own pocket. ”

So… Gerry logs into the club’s back account and wires a $10.000.000 sum to his personal account and the financial reports next will say “Gerry’s candy money” and that’s it, right? Now who’s the kid who thinks this how things roll in the business world. 😀

  4. He’s miles better than error-prone Thiaw and should have been preferred over Kjaer. The next coach needs to guarantee him minutes. Tomori has also been a disaster this season. I’d rather see Simic and Barteshagi start.

  5. Renew him and send him on loan to small club in serie A or other top 5 league in europe . If he dont want to renew , just sell him
