AC Milan look like they could close the potential signing of two players from Chelsea within the next few days, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have wasted no time in looking to reinforce the squad ahead of the 2021-22 season, which will mark a return to the Champions League for the first time since the 2013-14 campaign.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Milan are ‘confident’ regarding Fikayo Tomori’s stay and are still working to complete the signing of the Englishman on a permanent deal from Chelsea for €28.5m. Tomori was hugely impressive in the second half of last season, forming an excellent pairing with Simon Kjaer that helped in keeping five clean sheets to end the season.
Not only that, but the journalist adds that Milan are also in direct talks with Olivier Giroud agents over the possibility of signing on a free transfer, adding that he is considered a ‘potential opportunity’ by Maldini and co.
