Romano: Milan considering a Pogba-style approach with Raiola to secure Donnarumma

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s priority Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s renewal, but soon they will have to turn their attentions to Gianluigi Donnarumma’s situation.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest for Calciomercato.com, Milan want to accelerate the renewal theme of Donnarumma too as the goalkeeper is considered decisive for the Rossoneri project and there is no intention of losing him.

That is why the management is studying an official offer to submit to Donnarumma and his agent Mino Raiola. Given that the current agreement expires in 2021, the 21-year-old’s situation requires maximum attention and serious progress.

There has been talk about a release clause, but the last option taken into consideration is a percentage to be given to Mino Raiola in the event of a future sale.

This is a way to overcome some obstacles, as it is similar to what Juventus did in order to secure Paul Pogba, and the amount was then collected by Raiola at the time of his move to Manchester United.

It is an idea under consideration by the Milan management that will soon take its final decisions on the proposal to get closer.
