Romano: Milan in talks over Chelsea outcast via intermediary – the stance of both clubs

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are beginning to get to work on their summer transfer campaign and are in talks over Tiemoue Bakayoko, a report claims.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest for Calciomercato.com,  Milan are preparing their first offer for Bakayoko, a player who wants to return to the Rossoneri as he has remained very attached to the club since his loan spell in 2018-19.

Romano adds that up until now there has been no discussion of a reduction in salary but on the player’s side there are no problems, while Milan will make a first bid to try and get Chelsea to agree to a loan formula.

If this were to go ahead, it would be a paid loan of €3m with an option to buy at €30million or more. The clubs have started talking about it through an intermediary, and Milan will try with this solution even though Chelsea want to sell permanently right now. The journalist adds though that Bakayoko is a ‘concrete’ target.
