Romano: Milan’s eighth summer signing ‘imminent’ with deal ‘at final stages’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan appear to be closing in on their eighth signing of the summer with a deal for Yunus Musah now imminent, according to reports.

After the arrivals of Marco Sportiello, Luka Romero, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christian Pulisic, Tijjani Reijnders, Noah Okafor and most recently Samuel Chukwueze, the Milan management are pushing to add another piece to the midfield.

According to the latest from Fabrizio Romano, Milan are closing in on signing Musah from Valencia who has been a target for weeks. An agreement is ‘imminent’ as the parties are getting closer, with the ‘final details being clarified’.

Musah has been ‘pushing to join AC Milan for days’ after personal terms were agreed one month ago and now the deal is described as being ‘at final stages’ with ‘here we go’ status to come soon.

With the signing of the 20-year-old, Milan would add another talented young player to their midfield and another USA international too.

    1. Musah is a smart buy, talented young player, doesn’t count for the Serie A list (big prerequisite) and is in a position where we needed an additional player considering Benna is out.
Plus both him and Pulisic can open doors for marketing in US which is a very big market. Premier League and La Liga have by far the largest share of the money pool, but if Milan can get in, it would be a huge boost in our competitiveness.

Looks like Pioli will have a full team to work with for all August. Considering the crazy schedule that we have at the beginning of Serie A, that is a big plus. Hoping that Calabria injury is not serious.

    1. And so far aside from Thuram, it seems we’ve been able to acquire all of our top targets this window vs what felt like our third or fourth choices in previous years.

      1. I feel that the Thuram thing turned out to be a positive for us. It made the management more decisive in transfer dealings for fear of more backlash. Also I don’t think Thuram is worth the fuss so it’s better that Inter are overpaying for him, not us.

    1. I know it’ll make me sad if Benny moves to SA for 80 or 90M. i like him play with us for years to come. but when big SA money comes, i just can say YES PLEASE.
