Romano: Milan set date for Reijnders medical tests after agreeing deal

By Euan Burns -

Tijjani Reijnders is going to have his AC Milan medical tests on Tuesday before he officially becomes the latest Rossoneri signing of the summer, a report claims.

As has been reported by Fabrizio Romano, Tuesday is the day for Reijnders to do the final formalities before he signs for Milan.

The deal was recently agreed with AZ Alkmaar, so Milan will be paying €20 million as well as some add-ons for the Dutch midfielder who is the second midfielder to sign this summer.

He will be the fifth signing that Milan have made this summer, with lots of the transfer window still to go. He is the third player that Milan have spent a transfer fee.

The report says that the whole move will be sealed in two-three days and the player is very excited to get started with Milan’s pre-season preparations, once he has done his medical tests and signed the contract.

        1. Such a good job that they sold a core player and future captian of the team. Then they replaced him with much older, injury prone guy who hasn’t got a good season in ages.
Ps. The real trolls are all the new(fake) accounts who got nothing else to say but to praise the ownership. Lol, like 100% of the comments of this accounts are just cheering and praising the new owners. And of course, attacking any one who dares to criticize the new owners and their work.

          1. They sold a player who wanted to leave for higher wages to a team that overpaid for him. And now they are quickly and efficiently signing their top targets. What’s that saying “facts don’t care about your feelings”? Feel free to not like the new ownership but to say that they are operating effectively on the market is just a fact.

          2. Well that’s the thing, your feelings are not facts. There is nothing good or effective in selling top players and signing Chelsea left overs. If that was a good thing, you would see all the top teams going down that road. But no, they acctualy keep their best players and build around them…

          3. I criticized this new management, troll. I was not happy with Tonali leaving. But these moves have reinforced this team appropriately. Really watch your mouth

          4. You are so pathetic, Rossi. Go become an Inter fan and leave the reality to the rest of us. Chelsea leftovers like Tomori and Giroud… right? You are a clueless baby who is still putting up a whiny crying tantrum after Maldini got canned.

          5. @Rossi, I need to agree with you. RLC is injury prone and never had season where he played 40+games. Management performed this operation to save themselves from Thuram embarrassment.
On that moment, they fired Maldini and sold Tonali who has very high authority among fans and they thought they could do transfers easily and surprisingly they could not sign even one player on that moment.

        1. Yea, when all your comment are just that, constantly praising someone over the smallest things posiblle, its boot licking by definition. It seems signing someone in a couple of weeks now is a huge succsses for a club. If tomorow we sign someone in a matter of days, i guess that will be equal to wining the CL with this standard.

          1. I’m not constantly praising anyone. I criticized the management for selling Tonali. The only bootlicker is you. Maldini is gone. Maybe get over that fact. I bet you were gushing over CDK arriving. But your bitterness is one display for everyone to see. Yet here you are without a brain criticizing my comment.

        1. You were critical of no one. Your accaount didn’t even existed a while ago. Same as a bunch of other accounts who are doing the exact same thing as you, just praising the ownership on every single thing they do.

  1. We need chukwueze, a solid ST, another midfielder, a fullback, and we good to go

    —————maignan—————
    Calabria–thiaw–tomori–theo
    ——-Reijnders—-RLC————-
    —————–pulisic—————–
    chukwueze——————-leao–
    ——————????——————–

This team is looking strong, good defense, good midfield

    1. Chukwueze would really be an upgrade if he comes. But the rest not really. Reijnders is an upgrade to Krunic however RLC is a big downgrade from Tonali. So not much of a change there, it might even end up being worse. Pulisic was a promising player couple of seasons ago but right now with the constant injuries and all he hasn’t really shown much more than Brahim Diaz. Again not much of a change there either.

          1. I said it, I never said someone said it.
            Understanding.

It’s a promise, Milan will get relegated.
            Isn’t it obvious?

Since Maldini left, no one in the club has that pull to attract players anymore, all our targets will listen to Maldini alone.

But on a serious note, your analogy between Reijnders, Krunic, RLC and Tonali isn’t correct.

            Reijnders = Tonali replacement.
            RLC = Kessie replacement.

But come to think of it, can’t we just try for Kessie, even on loan?
            Our midfield will be solid.

          2. Krunic/Tonali was our double pivot last year so normaly i would compare Rejin/RLC to them. But any way, if we go with Kessie/Tonali than its gets worse. Since neither Reijnders and neither RLC are better players than Kessie or Tonali.
I doubt Barca will allow loan for Kessie. Juve are after him and Barca is looking for cash.

          3. @Rossi
“Krunic/Tonali was our double pivot last season”

That’s the point, we had Tonali when Maldini was after RLC. Clearly, RLC wasn’t sought to replace Tonali, rather for Kessie whom we haven’t replaced since he left.
That’s why comparing RLC to Tonali doesn’t add up for me.
Reijnders was sought after Tonali was sold.

            @Giancarlo
“Stop crying and whining. It’s looking pathetic. You are mad that Maldini was fired. We all get it now”

If you’ve been following this blog, you will know my comments about Maldini was mere sacarsm.
I am Milan till the focking casket.
            With or without Maldini.
Ain’t mad at no one buddy.

      1. Reijnders are best player in AZ and he is tonali replacement . We already use method last season only budget 50m euro without selling starter player and it is failure, it is time to change method using marotta method selling 1 player to buy 3 player . Look at our neighbour IM ,marotta sell onana an GK to buy 2 GK and 1 striker . Last season we only buy 1 player expensive and 3 cheap player thiaw ,junior ,florenzi ( activate buy option junior & florenzi ) also pay origi commission agent & pay loan fee for crap player like dest, bakayoko, aster

      2. Your knowledge of football is pretty close to zero. Might even be end up being worse. Gosh you’re so bitter since Maldini got canned. Reijnders is a clear upgrade over previous players and is a well sought after player.

        1. So Newcastle are really dumb. They spent 70 Mm for a player weaker than Rejinders who is worth. And also AZ management are dumb. They sold at 20 Mms a player better than Tonali who is worth 70 Mm. And of coarse Maldini was really stupid, he did not see the deal, at the cost of losing his job.

          1. You are just ranting like a nut. This is the problem with Maldini fans. They can’t see reality as it’s presented. Tonali ran hot and cold last season. He was far from consistent. Dumb argument you have. Newcastle was ripped off.

          2. Apparently, the entire Europe was dumb and Dinamo Batumi was dumb to sell Kvaratskhelia for a mere 11m and today he’s worth over 80m.

    2. I understand the FIFA in your name now, bro thinks Reijnders and RLC can play in a double pivot like it’s ultimate team

    3. Dumbest set up ive ever seen.

The only way we’d win games is if we scored 5 goals a game because none of those players except for Calabria, thiaw and tomori (sometimes theo) actually defend

  2. Never heard of this guy. He seems like just another CDK. Signing Pulisic was brilliant but these types of signings are head scratchers.

  3. A true bootlicker is one that can’t get over the fact that Maldini got fired after supposedly claiming that management wasn’t investing. In reality, it was more a falling out with Pioli and an expensive flop (CDK) that caused it.

And as far as Chelsea leftovers? Like Tomori and Giroud? Some criticize like little children on here because they don’t have a mind.

  4. C’mon guys…lets move on. Life going on forward. No use to look backward. Lets face the fact of our club now, and hope its better than last season. Whoever the management selling or buying, there’s nothing we can do about it. Just like an ant bite an elephant. So…why wasting our time to fight each other’s arguements..?? We are at the same side here..

    1. I don’t like it when someone calls me a bootlicker just because I don’t agree with their childish argument.

    2. Iwan i agree with your standing. However its difficult to accept than Rejinders who I hope is good should be better than Tonali who at 21 years is rated at 70 Mm when Rejinders is rated at 20 Mms at 25 years.
Why did AZ people who know Rejinders better than anyone ask only 25 if he is worth more than Sandro?

      1. Your argument is dumb. You might as well just stop posting nonsense. Tonali isn’t better than Reijnders. Also he’s 24. Not 25. I mean at least look things up.

  5. I don’t think Milan will get another player after Reijnder. As long as any of these player don’t leave : Rebic, Origi, Messias, CDK, Milan won’t buy another CF, RW or midfielder. We have Pulisic for AMC/RW and Romero as back up. 4 midfielders : Krunic, RLC, Reijnder, Pobega. Don’t forget Colombo is with us now.

    1. Lol plenty of other players are leaving. Pobega is going to be the next to go. And yes, we will get a RW and another midfielder at the very least because those are requirements. Your idea of this team is pretty horrible. We would fail to qualify for the CL without any further reinforcements.

  6. Guys please let’s stop this fight..Am also pained that Tonali was sold but the market transfer so far has not been really bad. So many refer to Pulisic and RLC as Chelsea’s drop-out, but forgot so easily that Chelsea as a team is notorious in making costly mistakes of selling good players out so cheaply without even allowing them show their worth on the pitch. Few names are M.Salah and De Bryune. Am hopeful that Pulisic and RLC will turn out to be good business for Milan.
