Romano: Milan’s search for a deputy to Theo Hernandez begins – contacts made with agent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have restarted contacts with the agent of Palmeiras defender Matias Vina over the idea of a summer move, a report claims.

It has been well documented by various media outlets that Milan want to sign a new deputy to Theo Hernandez ahead of the 2020-21 season, with Ricardo Rodriguez having secured a move to Torino last week and suggestions that Diego Laxalt will also look to move on after two years at San Siro.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest for Calciomercato.com, Milan have reignited their interest in the 22-year-old Matias Vina, a player that the Rossoneri management have been familiar with for some time.

They made an attempt to sign him in the winter window before the Brazilian club found an agreement on a transfer fee to steal the player from Milan, who subsequently brought Laxalt back from his loan at Torino.

Milan remain in the market for an alternative to Theo Hernandez and contacts with Viaa and his representatives have restarted.
