Romano: Real Madrid have a plan for Brahim Diaz with Milan’s hopes dented

By Oliver Fisher -

Real Madrid are closing in on extending the contract of Brahim Diaz and may close the door on a permanent deal for AC Milan, it is claimed.

According to the latest update from Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel, Real Madrid have been watching the performances of Brahim Diaz who is currently in his third season on loan at Milan from Los Blancos and they are happy with what they see.

They know that the 23-year-old is developing and has become important for the Rossoneri and as such they want to extend his contract. In fact, Romano states that talks between Real and Brahim over an extension are ‘very advanced’.

Then, they will have to decide what happens in the summer with the playmaker as the Sky journalist mentions the possibility that he either remains in the Spanish capital to become part of the squad or is loaned out again, but there is no mention of a possible permanent deal for Milan.

  1. Well, it is hardly to believe that Diaz will have bigger impact in Real than Asensio. So if Diaz thinks that he will make right decision to commit to Real, he should be aware about bench in that team and possible very low minutes of play in that team. In my opinion Asensio is much stronger and quality player than Diaz.

    1. Spanish media keep denying there is an option to buy in his loan contract. They keep repeating that it was only gentleman’s agreement and that it was a dry loan and nothing more. Italian media claim the opposite of course.

Only Real and Milan managemen, player and his manager know the truth, but none of them are confirming nor denying either, so we’ll see.

There is a thing that can not be denied, he is Spanish and a Real fan, if they want him back, he wont think twice about it.

  2. I find it hard to believe Milan are actually interested in signing him permanently. Anything over €5 million is too high, he’s a player for the bench.
