Another fundamental step will arrive shortly in the bureaucratic process regarding the new AC Milan stadium according to a report, after a ‘justified delay’.
On September 27, Milan officially announced their stadium project in the San Donato area and, at the same time, they handed in the documents to the Council.
Radio Rossonera reports that in the last few days the news that was expected regarding the new Milan stadium in San Donato has not arrived but there is a reason.
There were no steps backwards, no change of mind but what should have been a formal step – i.e. the signature from the Council on the resolution for the proposal for the urban planning variant – was postponed by a few days.
That day could be today. The Council will sign the resolution, after taking an extra week to protect itself from possible counter-modifications by the Lombardy Region and the other interested bodies.
This was done to avoid slowdowns in a month/a month and a half when the Program Agreement working table will open in the Lombardy Region.
The resolution was in fact drawn up in mutual agreement with the Region, also working on its text over the weekend and thus giving a good signal regarding the timing for the new Milan stadium, considering the classic delays that bureaucratic paths produce
This resolution will be passed after the signature from the City Council and then in a month or so it will finally be passed by the Lombardy Region.
The Region are already aware of the text of the resolution having worked together with the Council of San Donato Milanese.
It should be noted that the design in the featured image is not the final one. It’s simply a placeholder and the real designs have not been unveiled, with one favourite leading the line.
