AC Milan have continued contacts with the agent of Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca ahead of a possible move, a report claims.
Milan are seemingly in the market for two strikers this summer given the doubts over the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic plus the general lack of depth in that position due to Rafael Leao’s inconsistencies.
The Rossoneri have been persistently linked with the Sassuolo-owned centre-forward Scamacca with a view to a summer move.
The 21-year-old is on loan at Serie B side Ascoli from Sassuolo and was formerly in the youth sectors of Roma and PSV Eindhoven.
According to Pietro Balzano Prota of Radio Rossonera on Twitter, Scamacca – who was the top scorer in the Coppa Italia for this season – is a player that chief scout Geoffrey Moncada is a big fan of.
The journalist adds that contacts with his entourage continues over the possibility of a move to the San Siro this summer.
Scamacca, capocannoniere di coppa italia tra l'altro, piace tantissimo a Moncada. Continuano i contatti con l'entourage. https://t.co/eCvidpm7BS
