AC Milan and Theo Hernandez’s entourage are currently in a state of stalemate over the renewal of his contract, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport spoke of ‘the great frost’ involving Theo, who is wanting €8m net per season plus bonuses to renew with Milan but is not convincing the management with his performances and his behaviour more recently.
According to what Radio Rossonera are reporting, contacts between the French full-back’s representatives and the Milan management have been at a standstill for months, and that means that the mention of an €8m request is also false.
There are and have been no open discussions for months between Milan and Manuel Garcia Quilon – Theo’s agent – regarding the possible extension of his current deal which expires in June 2026. There is a ‘lack of a relationship’ between the parties that has lasted since the spring.
Is it a mere economic question? No, because Theo has shown that he does not put only and exclusively his own salary at the top of the list of priorities. Rather, the former Real Madrid man is happy at Milan, where he has his family and where he would like to continue to live and play .
The player’s will is therefore clear: he is open to the renewal of his contract, with ample willingness to sit around a table to reach an agreement that would put him at the centre of the project for the next few years and perhaps would contribute to strengthening his bond with the fans. The ball is now in Milan’s court.

“Contacts between the French full-back’s representatives and the Milan management have been at a standstill for months, and that means that the mention of an €8m request is also false.”
What??.
How do they figure out that the 8 mil request is false but they say there is standstill in contacts for months?
He wants to supposedly stay, they want to keep him, there is standstill in contacts but the reports of high salary request by Theo (something that he certainly doesn’t deserve) are false?
Makes zero sense.
If he is resigned, he should be getting around the same salary he gets now. For more than that he actually should have more good than bad games and actually behave as a grown man and a leader instead of being the reason why the team losses games.
If he doesn’t like it, he can f%ck right off.
Funny. When the ownership and the management are greedy and obsessed with money, it’s because they have a vision and because it’s modern football. When a top player who could be paid twice what he’s getting somewhere else, while never missing a game because he’s never injured and doesn’t have a backup, he’s a tumour. Théo was wearing these colours long before this ownership arrived in town with modern and disruptive ideas to chase dead presidents.
“When a top player who could be paid twice what he’s getting somewhere else.”
Ha ha 😂.
That’s cute that you believe that anyone is willing to pay Theo twice that he gets at Milan.
I’m going to remind you again.
You are one of the people that push the narrative that Milan is a selling club, ROI, profit, being greedy and obsessed with money. Theo literally declared in a press conference for the NT that he could be leaving Milan. Pimped himself out publicly. No tricks showed up to offer money for his services, let alone pay him double.
Imaginary clubs are fighting each other who is going to offer Theo more money. Ha ha 😂
If Milan were greedy and obsessed with money they would have sold him this summer. He is still at the club with no extension.
Your narratives (as usual) makes as much sense as the Radio Rossonera claim for the false 8 mil request, ZERO.
My narrative has been to say for over a year that this management would destroy the core and values of this club. I’m still waiting to be proven wrong. Currently it’s beyond my nightmares.
But that’s “cute” that you still think that a WALL STREET INVESTMENT FUNDS is not looking for ROI. Despite Jerry saying so in multiple interviews with Forbes, Fortune or The Wall Street Journal.
Core is there.
Theo hasn’t been sold.
Leao is there.
Tomori is there.
Bennacer is there.
Maignan is there.
Calabria is there.
The only one that’s not there is the degenerate gambler who asked to leave so he can run away from his problems or get more money to pay his gambling debt.
Nothing but the same stale narrative, speaking in generalities that are false, avoiding the topic.
Investment funds, ROI, Forbes, Fortune 500, Wallstreet Journal blah blah blah.
What does all that have to do with Theo being worse fullback than Emerson?
RedBird or your favorite guy Gerry don’t play on the pitch, nor does Zlatan anymore or the other people in Milan management. They don’t miss penalties or miss judge something that should be a routine ball. You know who does that? 2 players from the same core you speaking about. Theo and Tomori. The captains on the team.
Well I give you arguments and facts to which you reply blah blah. That’s great, you’re just one of these Internet people thinking they know everything and that their opinion is worthy. Open your eyes and watch. Nothing is going well at the club. Thanks for the debate Zzzzz 😴
“you’re just one of these Internet people thinking they know everything and that their opinion is worthy.”
Coming from Bart… PRICELESS!!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀
Unfortunately, I have to agree.
Even with lapses of judgement, Theo can easily make double abroad. It is entirely possible that he’s losing motivation given where Milan is going with a salary cap and Fonseca for coach.
It’s never one sided. Unfortunately with the recent episode more fans will be open to letting him go. While if he comes back with a stellar performance against Napoli, they will go back to singing his praises and how the suspension did him good.
Truth is, maybe Theo’s run at Milan is nearing its end. I’m just afraid of who they will replace him with given Emerson was an “upgrade” to Calabria …
Define abroad.
Saudi Arabia?
Because no full back around Europe makes nowhere near double than what Theo makes at Milan. So the claim that he can easily make double is just exaggeration.
People forget that in Italy the net salary is reported, in EPL and other leagues they report the gross salary.
Even if it’s not double, there are certainly many teams who can pay Theo more than what he currently earns in Milan (4,5M€). Heck, Juventus, Inter or even Roma can probably pay him around 6-8M€ per year.
I don’t think it’s in our interest to let Theo go, and especially let him go for free or for a cheap price.
Yep same here. Theo can EASILY be making more elsewhere but he did stick around (my guess he’s checking to see the club’s ambitionsnor weighing up family life, which is legit) He can easily be in a team competing for the UCL on a serious basis.
Theo , is one of our best player and always as service, player his heart out for the team and deserve good treatment. He can play and start in any big league. Let’s us find out what is the problem with the players, coach and the management. We win a derby isn’t coach effort. I’m still saying this .
Our players win the derby and they all ready to play for Milan. Let fix the dressing room and our Milan will top the table 3
Stop letting these players off the hook. Theo is the problem. Unfortunately Theo is seen as a leader on this team and he is a bad one. He set a terrible example both with the cooling break episode and now this selfish penalty kick nonsense, disobeying the coach and others follow his lead. It’s better to have no leaders than to have bad leaders and that’s unfortunately where Milan is at now. You can sell Theo and get a good RB and LB with the money and hopefully players with better character.
Pretty sure nobody looks at Theo as a leader of any sort.
Leao does. I’m pretty positive that cooling break stunt was Theo’s idea. Leao is a follower. Also, after Theo disrespected Pulisic and the coach on the first PK, Tomori and Abraham followed his lead on the second.
The player is happy? Yeah, that REALLY shows on the pitch.
