RR: When the San Donato council will deliver verdict on Milan’s stadium

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan handed in the official documents for their stadium project to the San Donato council a few months back. After a few minor delays, the evaluation process is now coming towards an end, with a decision expected relatively soon.

On September 27, Milan officially announced their stadium project in the San Donato area and, at the same time, they handed in the documents to the council. As reported by Radio Rossonera, the technical office of the council is currently evaluating the project.

The verdict from the technical office was expected at the end of this year. However, due to a few minor delays, it should instead arrive by January 6. The San Donato council will then have to make a definite decision on the project; a decision which will arrive within one month.

In short, Milan could get the go-ahead from the council at the start of February. There is cautious optimism as a majority of the San Donato council has expressed its willingness to back the project, especially considering the benefits for San Donato.

It should be noted that the design in the featured image is not the final one. It’s simply a placeholder and the real designs have not been unveiled, with one favourite leading the line.
