Salzburg chief confirms Milan, PSG and Arsenal have not made move for €25m playmaker

By Oliver Fisher -

Red Bull Salzburg sporting director has denied receiving an offer from Paris Saint-Germain for reported AC Milan target Dominik Szoboszlai.

We reported on Tuesday via Vito Angele that Szoboszlai is on Rangnick’s wish list and the German has received reassurances from the club. The Rossoneri have already been in contact with the agent, collecting the player’s approval.

In the coming days, the first official offer will be presented to the Austrian side, meaning Szoboszlai could be the second to sign after Pierre Kalulu.

Freund spoke to Sky Austria about the future of the 19-year-old, and denied having received an offer.

“I can deny it, PSG did not contact us for Dominik Szoboszlai,” he said.

“No club has actively contacted us yet. But if he continues to play like that, I can imagine that the big clubs in Europe could be interested in him.”

La Repubblica (via Calciomercato.com) reported yesterday that Szoboszlai has a release clause in his contract valued at €24m. The clause has to be paid in three instalments but is still a very affordable deal for interested clubs.
