A source who works for Santos has revealed his belief that Kaio Jorge will complete a move to AC Milan this summer.
A number of sources are reporting that Milan are closing in on a deal with Santos for the 19-year-old meaning his days in Brazil could be numbered, but he may have signed off in the best possible way as he scored the decisive goal in their 2-1 aggregate win against Club Atlético Independiente.
Now, Andre Noruega – who is the ‘Official Representative of Santos FC Europe’ – has given an update on Milan’s pursuit of the teenager. He starts by revealing that his belief is that he will join Milan and most likely this summer.
Santos are ‘keen on getting that extra cash’ as they are in ‘deep financial trouble’. Keeping him only to let him go for free at the end of his contract does not make sense for them, while they see ‘Marcos Leonardo as a great replacement’.
There is no contract signed just yet by Jorge, but ‘it’s getting closer and closer’ as per Noruega. The player ‘has chosen Milan’ as per his information and now the clubs need to agree on a fee.
