Sassuolo CEO denies talks with Milan over star winger and deals boost to Leicester and Spurs

By Oliver Fisher -

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has denied holding any talks with AC Milan over their star winger Domenico Berardi.

It is now no secret that the Rossoneri are in the market for a new winger, one with different characteristics to Alexis Saelemaekers in the sense that they are more of a direct goal threat. Berardi is a target that keeps being linked after a season with 17 goals and 8 assists for Sassuolo.

According to the journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the farewell of Berardi in the upcoming summer mercato is probable, under the right conditions. He added to ‘watch out’ for two possible Italian teams in Lazio and Milan, but mentioned Premier League interest too with Spurs and Leicester mentioned in recent days by various sources.

According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Carnevali was asked about the future of Berardi and more specifically about the links with Milan, replying: “I did not talk about Berardi with Milan, he has an evaluation for clubs abroad.”
