GdS: Renewal raises Sassuolo star’s price to €45m – Milan have a plan to beat Inter

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Inter are battling for the Scudetto on the field but they are also competing for the same transfer target away from the pitch.

Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) has given an update on Gianluca Scamacca’s situation by claiming that the Sassuolo striker is tempting to many Italian clubs, above all Milan and Inter who both see him as a good long-term option.

The paper acknowledges how the 23-year-old centre-forward signed a renewal a few days ago until 2026, and that means that the asking price has risen further because Sassuolo have strengthened their negotiating position.

Now, €45m would be needed to snatch him from the Neroverdi, but Milan would be willing to sacrifice some of their young players such as Marco Brescianini, Lorenzo Colombo or even Daniel Maldini in order to try and lower the cash sum required to sign him.

  1. They are not that stupid wasted 45m euro for striker that Will be sit on bench . Even if they want splash fund ,they already did it to buy Dusan vlahovic or Darwin Nunez not scamacca

    1. Agreed. Until Ibra officially retires we are not spending big on a striker. And as @Reccaman just said if we were going to spend big on one it should have been on Vlahovic. We missed that chance.
