Sassuolo striker offers response to links with Milan move: “My priorities are different”

Striker Gianluca Scamacca has offered a cryptic response to rumours linking him with a move to AC Milan in the upcoming transfer window.

Based on the current squad, work is needed in all departments, although the attack is seen as a priority. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is destined to leave the club and thus work is underway to identify a replacement.

According to a recent report form Tuttosport (via MilanNews), more than one signing is expected for the attack this summer. One of the Rossoneri’s targets is Gianluca Scamacca, owned by Sassuolo but currently on loan at Serie B side Ascoli where he has put in a number of impressive performances.

Now, the striker has spoken to il Corriere dello Sport about his future and refused to be drawn on the possibility of joining the Rossoneri.

“Milan? Right now my priorities are different: train, feel good and think about when we will start playing again. If we will start again,” he said (via Calciomercato.com).

Meanwhile, the Rossoneri have also been linked with a move for another forward in Real Betis striker Loren Moron, which SportMediaset claim that Ralf Rangnick wants as part of a €130m overhaul.
