Schira: Dortmund midfielder set to snub Milan’s advances in favour of extending deal

By Oliver Fisher -

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Vasco Walz is set to snub interest from AC Milan in order to sign an extension, according to one journalist.

The 16-year-old is currently under contract until the end of the season and could leave Dortmund, with Milan sniffing an opportunity to bolster their youth ranks. Predominantly a central midfielder, the teenager has played for Germany at U17 level.

MilanNews reported earlier in the month how a meeting is planned between the Milan management and that Walz’s agent – Hector Peris – will arrive in Italy in the coming weeks to try to a the definitive agreement over his transfer.

According to Nicolo Schira on Twitter however, it seems as though the Rossoneri will miss out on the signature of the teenager. That is because Walz is now set to extend his contract with Dortmund and continue his development in his home country, rather than try a move abroad.
