By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan returned to winning ways at San Siro with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Genoa, stopping their home winless drought at four games.

It appeared as though it was going to be a comfortable afternoon for the Rossoneri when Ante Rebic fired the team into an early lead, but Mattia Destro levelled, scoring his third goal of the season against Milan in the process. An own-goal from Gianluca Scamacca midway through the second half would seal a valuable three points.

Below are the best post-match stats from the game, courtesy of the official website

➤ Milan have equalled their Serie A points tally from last season (66), with seven games still to be played.

➤ Milan have now scored 25 league goals from set-pieces this season, five more than any other side this season in Serie A.

➤ The goal from Rebić was Milan’s very first shot on target in the match.
