AC Milan winger Rafael Leao is attracting the interest of the top clubs in Europe but a sale this summer seems very unlikely, it is claimed.
Gianluca Di Marzio spoke to Sky (via MilanNews) and confirmed that even last summer there were ‘great’ European clubs who were attentive to Leao’s situation as they were admirers of his performances, his physique, his power and his technique.
Leao has been in the notebook of some top clubs in Europe for some time, but at the same time the management of Milan were convinced that they had a diamond ready to be polished and therefore made him unsellable.
Looking ahead to this summer and the new almost certain takeover by Investcorp, Di Marzio states that he does not believe the Bahrain fund will introduce themselves to the Milan fans by selling one of the club’s best players.
This fresh money from Bahrein is timely to offer Leao a new contract.
