Fonseca Management Ripple

CM: ‘A signal of distance’ – Milan leave Fonseca ‘alone’ after criticism

After Paulo Fonseca’s outburst in Bergamo, AC Milan were left in a difficult position, but it seems they have left it vacated after his most recent words to the press.

Milan are in a difficult place right now. Fonseca is in a difficult place right now. Ultimately, there are no real suggestions that either will get out of their situations, and this is a deeply concerning and frustrating thing for everyone involved.

Now, it seems those frustrations are bubbling over.

Speaking after the Atalanta defeat, the head coach admitted that the performance of the officials was deeply frustrating, but his words were ‘supported’ by the club, even if they have recently attempted to move away from this in recent days, as Calciomercato.com write.

Paolo Scaroni and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have both tried to distance themselves from his words, and the latter distanced himself from the Rossoneri last night, as he, Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani left San Siro early.

This ‘silence’, as the report words it, is striking and seems like a ‘signal of distance’ which must be explained or lessened quickly. However, with the Portuguese speaking about his frustrations about the team last night, the next steps must be done with caution.

A fallout of this magnitude does not serve well for anyone.

  1. I think this is an inaccurate read. I would take the lack of presence by management as a tacit endorsement of Fonseca. He has sent a message to the team, and they leave him alone today to train the squad and make himself clear. Presence of management comes across as not being supportive but rather of meddling.

  2. A ÉSTE MEDIOCRE (FONSECA!!!) SI NO LO SACA SU INCOMPETENCIA SU MAL!!! MANEJO DE GRUPO (LA ROPA SUCIA!!! Se LAVA EN CASA!!) LO SACAN ESTAS PALABRAS DE BALA!!! A TODO UN GRUPO QUE SOLO HACE LO QUE LES MANDA EL MEDIOCRE!!!! (FONSECA!!!) COMO LOFTUS-CHECK POR SAMU CHUKWUEZE QUE LE CERRÓ LA BOCA CON ESE CENTRO QUE LES DIO LA VICTORIA EN UN PARTIDO COMO TODOS LOS DE FONSECA… NO SE MIRA EL ÁRBOL (FONSECA) SINO EL BOSQUE (LA TABLA DE SERIE A Y EL RENDIMIENTO DE ESTOS MESES) 🤡🇵🇹👍🏻🤮

  3. I really hope our management realised Fonseca is not that coach who can change something and doing big things… yes in some moments there was a flashing of brilliant tactics and we all was happy , but play 2 great games from 20 games is not enough..
But maybe this is just and article and everything is “Fine” …no one will be punished and no changes…

  4. What to expect from cardinale’s chihuahua nammed ibrahimovic, juddah furlani, and backstabber monacada , but to betray you failseca ,they sould pack their bags before you because they did everything wrong including apointing you as a coach

  5. Changing the coach won’t change anything. Main “stars” will keep sabotaging every coach untill you sell them all, because they feel betrayed after firing a man who brought them all here-maldini,and sacking their daddy-pioli.
They feel disrespected by the way you disrespected maldini and therefor they will disrespect menagement, club, coaches…can’t blame them for that, you really deserve it $hitty owner and $hitty menagement

    1. Yes you can blame them for that. You okay for the club AC Milan. It doesn’t matter who is sitting in the front office or on the touch line. Do your damn job!

      1. You keep saying support the club despite whibisbin charge, do your Jon despite who is in charge.
Did you say all these when Maldini head was on the line, or do you think the Redbird fan scouts here supported M&M when he was here.

Seems like this is expecting what was never given to the old management to be done to the new one. While I can’t say the players are intentionally sabotaging the team, due to M&M firing. If there is any truth to that then this management and by extention ownership deserves it.

Because they are getting away with muc worse than the previous management.
        Hiring Fonseca and bringing Emerson.

Come on that’s gotta be more than enough grounds for heads to roll right??

  6. I don’t even see what’s the big deal here. That was never Fonseca’s style. He prefers to work alone rather than have others involved. It’s not Pioli we have anymore, it’s a whole new coach. What used to happen before doesn’t mean it will happen with the next coach..much ado about nothing imo
