Sky: Aston Villa forward open to joining Milan and uniting with idol Ibrahimovic

AC Milan are exploring options to bolster their attacking department and one of the ideas that has emerged is Jhon Duran of Aston Villa, a report claims.

According to the latest update from Sky, Milan remain hopeful that Aston Villa will open up to a loan formula because the management would only consider an initial loan with an option to buy rather than a permanent deal straight away.

The 20-year-old forward was actually offered to the Rossoneri in recent days through his entourage and he would be very happy to move to Milan, having made it known that his idol is Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ibrahimovic returned to Milan as an advisor last month, but that counts for nothing until there is an agreement between the clubs, which at the moment is still to be concluded.

Duran only has a limited role in the team right now, but he has scored two goals in the Premier League this season and he has also scored twice in the Europa Conference League.

He cost Aston Villa almost €17m when he joined in January 2023 from Chicago Fire, which is why they are likely to look for a permanent sale or a loan with obligation to buy. Milan have shown a willingness to invest in talent, but for the right price.
