Sky: Atalanta cleared to land Lokomotiv Moscow star as Milan’s interest fades

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have fallen away in the race to land Lokomotiv Moscow star Aleksey Miranchuk, according to a report.

MilanNews reported last week that while Atalanta have opened talks with Lokomotiv Moscow over the midfield star, Milan have also been in talks with the Russian side to include Diego Laxalt in the operation.

They added that the player would prefer a move to the Rossoneri and the move to Bergamo remains tough. Back in July, Milan postponed negotiations for Miranchuk due to the Ralf Rangnick uncertainty.

According to what is being reported by Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Atalanta have accelerated their attempts to sign the 24-year-old and have made a new offer to Lokomotiv.

The report adds that although some rumours saw Milan as the favoured team in the player’s eyes, the Rossoneri in the last few hours have slipped away in the race for Miranchuk, probably because they are focusing on Brahim Diaz and/or Oscar Rodriguez from Real Madrid.

  1. If Milan fail to buy this player, they will regret it, Maldini is getting too cocky for my liking, just because Milan ended the season strongly doesn’t mean they don’t need quality players to add depth and rotate to give the team rest. surely suspension and Injury can affect the team performance!!!
