Sky: Battle remains open for two midfield spots ahead of PSG trip

By Oliver Fisher -

The biggest question marks for AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli heading into the game against Paris Saint-Germain seem to concern the midfield department.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is almost certain to miss out given that he has been out since before the international break with discomfort that he has still not managed to shrug off yet, and there are doubts about if he will even be back for the Napoli match.

According to what Sky (via MilanNews) are reporting Pioli has two doubts in the middle of the pitch ahead of the trip to the French capital, the first being whether Yacine Adli or Rade Krunic will start in front of the defence.

Then there is the right mezzala role, where Tommaso Pobega and Yunus Musah are battling for a spot. That means Tijjani Reijnders will certainly get a start on the left of the three.

At the moment, the favourites to start from the first minute are Krunic and Pobega.

  1. OMFG!!!

Pioli is the typical case of the owner of a company giving his useless son high roles and responsibilities, and him failing at all of them. And now we have the younger brother joining the company as well!

Just that AC Milan is not Pioli’s company. If Cardinale had the balls to oust Maldini, he should prevent Pioli from fielding Krunic and Pobega ever again, unless everyone is injured all the way down to our Primavera players.
