Sky: Bayern Munich eye Milan defender as replacement for Inter-linked Pavard

By Oliver Fisher -

Bayern Munich have set their sights on Pierre Kalulu as they look to replace Benjamin Pavard, who is reportedly pushing for a move to join Inter.

According to what was reported by Sky (via MilanNews) last night, Bayern are considering making a late bid for Kalulu because Thomas Tuchel is insisting they have a replacement for Pavard ready.

The latter is hoping to make the move to Inter before the window closes in a few days and he has agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri, who have in turn also agreed a fee with the Bundesliga champions.

However, Tuchel is adamant that cover must be secured before he lets Pavard leave which is why they are targeting Kalulu. Like Pavard, his compatriot is able to play as a centre-back and a right-back.

Of course there is limited time remaining in the summer mercato, and Milan would have to sort a replacement for Kalulu too should a bid come in.

  1. Given his age and versitality, around 50 mil would be a fair price, especially if we are talking about clubs like Bayern. I would consider selling him in January, and then reinvest that money into Dominguez, younger striker and starting RB and have Calabria as backup

  2. I am not rly sure about that high price. I mean he was not rly good the last 10 games I saw him play. That’s why he is not starting. 30 mil would sound fair

  3. So Tuchel beleive ACM would weaken herself in order to strength Merda and satisfy Bayern?

Dream on, or swop Kalulu with Pavard plus cash.

    1. Yup, and more importantly we don’t have to sell. Unless it includes Pavard himself being directed to the other side of Milan.

  4. Why are they looking to sell him and want to dip into the market for a replacement? Why not keep what we have, not like the guy doesn’t have quality. He isn’t just the only one with a dip in form last season the whole square had a dip in form.

  5. We should not sell…He doesn’t hurt the wage bill and is more than a decent player. He is still very young and versatile in positions and an international player. If he wasn’t at Milan we would be lookingto buy such a player… Time to close our transfer window.

  6. Pulisic & RLC cost ~20M€. 30M€ for Kalulu? Sounds reasonable. 50M? 70M? GTFO guys. This is not FIFA or Football Manager FFS. 😀 😀 😀

    What next? Florenzi 40M€? 😀

  7. 50m easy at this point in the Mercato. And his age and versatility. He still has alot of upside, still one of the best young defenders in Europe
