Sky: Bologna and Milan hoping to complete deal for full-back but green light is needed

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan management are not just active looking for squad reinforcements but also trying to offload players no longer deemed a fit for the project.

Sky reports that among Milan’s objectives for the summer transfer window is to be able to sell the players that are deemed non-functional to the plans of head coach Stefano Pioli.

One of those who could leave Milanello is Fodé Ballo-Touré, and he is a target for Bologna. The negotiation between the two clubs is going on, but the player’s definitive approval is needed for the operation to go through.

Ballo-Toure arrived from Monaco two years ago and it was hoped that he would be a reliable deputy to Theo Hernandez in the left back position, however he has not been up to the levels expected.

Though he has had some positive moments, the feeling is that Pioli would welcome a reinforcement in that area to strengthen the defensive depth, while Ballo-Toure could head elsewhere to get more playing time.

    1. Well… Tonali actually worked hard for his money. Frodo doesn’t have to anything to get his paycheck and probably no one will match his current salary as Milan are used to overpay garbage.

  1. Now that we are already negotiating with Bologna, maybe just get Ricardo Orsolini for the right wing now and sign Chukwueze on a free in six months?? Win/win
