AC Milan midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu was at Casa Milan today to discuss his contract renewal and positive talks were held, a report claims.
According to what is being reported by Manuele Baiocchini for Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Calhanoglu was at Casa Milan today. There have been fruitful talks in the last hours and days with the management trio consisting of Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara and Ivan Gazidis himself.
There has not been much talk of figures, but rather the establishment of Milan and the player’s mutual desire to find a solution, as both the club and the playmaker are willing to continue together.
The presence of the Turk is in line with this desire to find a meeting point despite the fact negotiations started from very different stances in terms of contract figures, but Calhanoglu has lowered his requests.
The distance between offer and demand – which is now minimal – can be bridged with bonuses that can be easily reached by the playmaker.
I think we should sign Hakan to not lose him on a free and then look for a replacement and sell him if we find one in the summer. He has shown he can play at an extremely high level that we have all been impressed with. But still for 80% of his time here he’s been average or below average and really doesn’t deserve much of a pay rise.
We should look at Castrovillo or De Paul.
Agree, Or maybe Isco Can be another option and Pessina
