Hakan Calhanoglu has rejected the huge offer he had from Qatar while AC Milan’s proposal remains on the table, according to a report.
Journalist Luca Marchetti spoke to Sky Italia (via MilanNews) about Calhanoglu’s future and confirmed that Al Duhail’s proposal was rejected. The Turkey international did not consider it appropriate at the age of 27 to leave European football despite the fact that the offer from Qatar was ‘pharaonic’.
Milan do not intend to raise their bid to the playmaker but the contract offer remains there as it has been for some time, and if Calhanoglu believes he wants to continue his adventure with the Rossoneri he must accept the offer, and Milan for their part would be happy to welcome him back into their plans for the upcoming 2021-22 season and the imminent return to the Champions League.
