Hakan Calhanoglu could travel with the team to Bologna and play some part in tomorrow’s game after all, according to a report.
Calhanoglu will be ready to rejoin his team-mates as soon as possible because the club have confirmed that he has tested negative. It comes after the player himself announced the news via a post on his Instagram account this afternoon, which is good news for Pioli.
Given that the Turk hasn’t trained on the pitch and with his team-mates for about two weeks, we can probably rule out the idea of him starting immediately tomorrow, but Sky Italia (via MilanLive) have provided an update.
They claim that Calhanoglu will soon undergo the usual medical tests to reintegrate him into competitive activity. He will then have to carry out an electrocardiogram and other specific visits. The player suffered a bit of a cold and a fever in the first few days.
If the outcome of these is satisfactory, the attacking midfielder could join the team in Bologna and be on the bench.
