Sky: Daniel Maldini expected to leave Milan on loan with option to buy plus buy-back

By Oliver Fisher -

Daniel Maldini is closing in on sealing his exit from AC Milan as he is expected to join Hellas Verona on an initial loan deal, a report claims.

According to the latest from Gianluca Di Marzio on Sky (via MilanNews), Hellas Verona are closing in on the signing of Daniel Maldini and a completed deal between the two clubs is in the pipeline.

Di Marzio even added that the formula on which the two parties are working is an initial season long loan deal with an option to buy in favour of the Gialloblu and then a buy-back in favour of Milan.

Maldini made 13 appearances for the Rossoneri last season but ultimately was never in line to be a regular starter despite Brahim Diaz’s struggles, with Franck Kessie and Rade Krunic preferred in the No.10 role. The return of Yacine Adli from loan and the potential signing of a player like Charles De Ketelaere may further reduce his playing time, and as such a decision has been reached.

    1. Dont forget that his grandfather cesare maldini actually arrived from Triestina so why would it be an issue when its actually benefiticial for all parts involved.

  1. One report said it’s just a dry loan but this one said Verona got option to buy.

Not sure which one is true but I don’t think Maldini gonna let his son bought by Verona.

  2. as this pace daniel maldini wont be a good player in the future, or boom too late

its good he is going to other club to gain exp. im sure this decision is hard for Paolo and the club too.

but it has to be done

  3. Daniel is extremly talented. He just need more playing time. I am really surprised that he did not get right chance in ACM. There were many games that he should be in. For me no doubt, he will be great player.
