Sky: Difficult for Milan to sign Fiorentina star due to high price but the market is long

By Oliver Fisher -

It will be difficult for AC Milan to complete the signing of Fiorentina winger Federico Chiesa as things stand, Gianluca Di Marzio claims.

The Rossoneri have had a busy summer so far to say the market has almost three weeks still to run, with a new deal secured for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the permanent arrival of Ante Rebic also confirmed.

Brahim Diaz has joined on loan from Real Madrid and Sandro Tonali completed a move from Brescia, as did Ciprian Tatarusanu from Lyon.

However, Chiesa is a name that continues to be linked as a potential dream signing to fully complete the squad for the season ahead.

However, Di Marzio – speaking to Sky Italia (via MilanNews) – has put a dampener on the idea that Stefano Pioli could reunite with Chiesa at Milan in the current window.

He reports that while there is still time until the end of the market, if Chiesa’s evaluation remains as high as the one established some time ago by Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso it becomes difficult for anyone to sign him, including the Rossoneri.
