Sky: Donnarumma gives priority to Milan over renewal as PSG and Real Madrid watch on

By Oliver Fisher -

After a period of reflection, Milan are ready to tackle the issue of agreeing a new deal with star goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

In fact, Sky Italia (via MilanLive) are reporting the Milan will intensify talks with Donnarumma and his agent Mino Raiola in the next few days.

The goal is clear: to understand there are the margins for at least adding a year to the current contract. Otherwise, the club will be forced to sell the 21-year-old this summer so as to avoid the risk of losing him for free next year,

Time works against Milan, as the current season could end in late August when Gigio would not be a year from the deadline but in fact ten months. At the same time, the Primavera product will listen to Milan’s offer and give priority to his boyhood club out of love, gratitude and attachment.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are the teams waiting to pounce if the idea of a sale were to materialise this summer.

Both clubs have a long-standing interest, as Los Blancos are not convinced of their own goalkeeping duo Thibaut Courtois and Alphonse Areola, while Keylor Navas of PSG is no longer young.
