AC Milan defender Mattia Caldara has a market in Serie A as Empoli have expressed an interest in signing him, a report claims.
Caldara is now 27 and has battled several serious injuries in the last few seasons which ultimately hindered his time with the Rossoneri, and his contract with Milan expires in 2023 which is likely to bring his asking price down in view of the summer window, but a suitor has emerged.

Speaking on Sky (via MilanNews), Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Empoli have two target for the defence and Caldara is one of them. The former Juventus man is a concrete option and the Tuscan side could soon reach an agreement with Milan.
Despite the relegation to Serie B that Venezia suffered, Empoli know that Caldara had a good season in 2021-22 and showed that he can be reliable from a physical point of view, which has convinced them to try.

Parisi to Milan.
