Sky: Fiorentina leading the race to sign PSG defender Thiago Silva despite his Milan wishes

By Oliver Fisher -

Fiorentina are the club currently leading the charge to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva, according to a report.

The future of Thiago Silva is a subject that is attracting a lot of attention as he will captain PSG in Sunday’s Champions League final in what will strangely be his last game for the club as things stand, with his contract due to expire.

Fabrizio Romano reported for Calciomercato.com last night that the 35-year-old ‘would be thrilled’ to be able to wear the Milan shirt again, but understood that the management have other plans and will not make another investment in player over 30 after the effort made to lure Zlatan back.

According to Sky Italia (via MilanNews), the Brazil international will leave Paris after this weekend’s final and the team that are leading the race to sign him are Rocco Commisso’s Fiorentina.

La Viola are in contact with the player who, however, has not yet decided his fate yet.
