Sky: Florenzi to undergo tendon surgery following injury sustained in Sassuolo

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Alessandro Florenzi will undergo surgery on a tendon injury that he sustained in the game against Sassuolo, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Peppe Di Stefano of Sky (via MilanNews), Florenzi should undergo a tendon surgery in Finland this afternoon after the serious injury suffered last Tuesday against Sassuolo.

After that, the club will provide an official statement in which they clarify the extent of the operation and of course enlist what his estimated recovery time should be, but multiple sources have claimed it will be into the new year.

The Milan management have already acted in the market though as they signed Sergino Dest on deadline day from Barcelona via the formula of a loan with an option to buy. In addition to captain Davide Calabria, the USA international has arrived to provide cover on the right side of the defence.

  1. Buying Florenzi and Messias was a waste of money, no matter how small the amount is, he is old and injury prone, and honestly can’t contribute meaningful in the type of game we play, while it is also very evident now, that Messias is out of his depth, and a very very average player, who has no business in Ac Milan…

    1. I think management wasted cash on these two…but then again who would have been bought on limited resources that we had..in the end though dest came out of no where..
