Sky: Frustration for Milan and Chelsea as Bakayoko exit collapses

By Oliver Fisher -

Tiemoue Bakayoko will not be leaving AC Milan this month and is now destined to remain until the end of the season, a report claims.

According to reports from Sky journalist Manuele Baiocchini (via MilanNews), the deal that could have seen Bakayoko join Vincenzo Montella’s Adana Demirspor in Turkey has definitely fallen through.

The midfielder is therefore destined to remain at Milan on loan until the end of the season, where he is yet to pick up a competitive appearance in the current campaign after amassing 18 in 2021-22.

Bakayoko returned to Milan from Chelsea on a two-year loan in the 2021 summer window and the deal included an option to buy that becomes an obligation upon certain conditions being met.

The talks with Adana foresaw his loan deal being terminated early and also his contract with Chelsea so he could go on a free, but instead he will stay for another few months.

  1. Who would tell… that we have worst transfer management in Serie A. We will see what are they going to do with non influenced players from this year.

  2. Getting paid millions to watch the beautiful game from the best seats in the house?! Why would he leave. He probably had enough of playing/training. Sort of like bale mentality, when he retired at 33 and pursuing golf instead. That interests him more. Same with this deadwood of a player. Yeah no wonder the owners are mad at management for throwing 2-3 mil a year to garbage.

  3. How much Bakayoko cost Milan in 2 years.
3 mil paid loan fee, plus 2.5 mil a year salary.
    That’s €8 million burnt.
What a genious move by M&M.

    1. What’s funnier is that Maldini chased Bakayoko in 2020 too. Negotiated for months with Chelsea to sign him that summer, just so Bakayoko to end up at Napoli.
He was ASS at Napoli, who got rid of him and signed Anguissa, while Maldini picked up their reject.

BTW, Anguissa was on 1 year loan at Napoli with 15 mil buyout clause, which they paid this past summer.
Bakayoko is on 2 year loan at Milan with 17 mil buyout clause.

Chased the guy for 2 years to sign him and not play him for 2 years so they don’t activate his release clause.

      1. So his signing costs Milan 12 million over these 2 years.
        WOW.
For a club that is not working with a lot of money and every million is important, they sure have a sporting director that recklessly burns a lot of money and losses valuable assets for nothing

  4. He still has a year to do in chelsea.. then he will leave for free to some premier low team like leeds or crystal, that will offer a satisfying amount.
You know, i would go to turkey as well so i kinda get that 😀

  5. There should be some protection for clubs in Europe. Cos this is scam. You earn millions monthly or yearly just to sit on the bench and not doing your job on the pitch. It’s not fair. Clubs need protection against idiots like bakayoko

  6. Dollaruma…Kessie…Kakan…Bakayoko…is AC Milan magnet for money players, for all fallen talents???Realy?Am I the only one noticed that?
