Olivier Giroud has already apologised to the referee who sent him off during AC Milan’s 2-2 draw with Lecce on Saturday as he waits to see what his ban will be.
As was explained on Sky Sport Italia by Manuele Baiocchini (via Radio Rossonera), Giroud has spoken to Abisso after the Frenchman was sent off for dissent against the Salentini in Lecce.
The sports judge is expected to rule today that Giroud receives a two-game ban for the red card, but that is not certain until a statement is made.
The rules actually now allow for a four-game suspension for disrespectful behaviour or language towards the referee.
There is a precedent of Maxime Lopez in August against Napoli. He was sent off for dissent and was given a two-game ban.
The fact that Giroud has apologised means that Milan are confident there is no cause for the four-game ban and it will just be two, leading him to miss matches against Fiorentina and Frosinone.
Did he say Perra or Puttana
He actually said: “you ate sh*t, you are complete sh*t you know it”.
I guess this is the break for Jovic that he’s been looking for.
