Sky: Ibrahimovic’s renewal will arrive in next 2-3 days with Pioli pushing for announcement

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s new contract will be defined within the next two to three days as the striker wants to stay at AC Milan, a report claims.

The Swede secured his return to the Rossoneri earlier this year and has shown that at the age of 38 he can still be decisive. He scored 10 goals in Serie A but also helped the team from a psychological standpoint, as they lost just twice all calendar year including a run of nine wins in 12 to end the season after lockdown.

Despite everything pointing towards an extended stay, his renewal has begun to develop into a long-running saga, however it will soon come to a close as per Sky journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

He reports (via MilanNews) that both the Milan fans and head coach Stefano Pioli want the announcement as soon as possible. The parties are working to try to close that distance that, according to what Sky know, is not as wide as other reports.

In the next two or three days there will be a definitive meeting because the common intentions, both of Ibrahimovic and of the Rossoneri, is to continue together.
