Sky journalist insists Rangnick is set to join but Milan are holding off on announcement

By Oliver Fisher -

Ralf Rangnick is almost certain to become Milan’s new manager, a report claims, but there will be no announcement for the time being.

According to Sky Italia journalist Luca Marchetti (via MilanNews), Milan will give current head coach Stefano Pioli the opportunity to work in peace. and try to achieve Europa League qualification.

Marchetti added that he will be surprised if Rangnick was not at Milan next season, but the signatures have not yet arrived. Given that the current Red Bull Head of Football is an unpredictable character, there is still a small chance he will not arrive, but at the moment it seems as though the German will be entrusted with the new project.

Rangnick will therefore be tasked with implementing a youth-oriented philosophy in line with the vision that the club’s ownership Elliott Management Corporation have – a vision that he has previously put in place with success at Leipzig among other clubs.
