Sky journalist: Milan have ‘the strength and the means’ to offer Donnarumma a serious renewal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have the means and the resources to be able to give Gianluigi Donnarumma a new contract, according to a report.

According to what Peppe Di Stefano has told Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Milan have never considered selling the Italy international, rather on the contrary they absolutely want to renew this contract.

The club do not feel under pressure despite the fact his deal runs out in less than a year, as talks with Mino Raiola are simply on stand by and will resume at the end of the window.

Milan want to make an important offer, but the figures cannot yet be disclosed because they are not known, however it will likely start from a base net salary of €6.5m.

Milan has all the will and the resources to improve the salary, and if they didn’t then they would have already thought of selling the Primavera product so they could raise some money.

“It means that Milan really have the strength, the means and the conviction to try to convince Gianluigi Donnarumma to renew the contract,” he concludes.
