Sky: Leao ready to start vs. Inter as Pioli has only one doubt to resolve

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan underwent their final session at Milanello this morning in view of tonight’s second leg against Inter, and Rafael Leao completed it.

According to reports from Sky (via MilanNews), the training session today was not the usual level of work but was limited to some stretching and then some discussion on tactics and set pieces.

There is good news regarding Rafael Leao who is feeling good and will therefore be starting tonight against Inter on the left side of the attack which is a big boost for the already small chances of a comeback win.

Yesterday Junior Messias trained separately, while today he worked in a group and was used throughout. For this reason, the only doubt regarding the starting line-up is on the right wing between the Brazilian and Alexis Saelemaekers.

The rest of the selection choices seem clear as Pioli rallies the troops one final time to try and secure a memorable result that might save a season.

  1. Who ever starts as the RW simply isn’t good enough. That’s one of the two main reasons why there will be no UCL next season. The other is lack of creativity and attacking playbooks.

  2. My dream is coming close.
I was skeptical about what I saw but, the recent update just starred up the reality of my dream.

Now, the two goals came from Messias and Giroud.
However, I don’t know about the outcome of the extra time

  3. I am hopeful that Milan can find a way to turn the tie around, but not very optimistic. It’s going to take a miracle for Milan to qualify. Mlan is not facing Napoli here who likes to possess the ball and attack regardless of the score. Rather, it’s Inter who is prepared to sit and wait for a counter-attack opportunity. All Inter need to do to shut down Milan is neutralize Leao and it’s going to be easy for Inter to do it. Because they’ll sit in a low block and not give him any room to maneuver around.
