Sky: Milan ‘continue to evaluate’ Giampaolo’s position – Boban is unhappy

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are considering head coach Marco Giampaolo’s position despite Saturday’s win over Genoa, according to a report.

The Rossoneri ended their three-game losing run by winning 2-1 at the Marassi, but it wasn’t without drama.

Lasse Schone gave the home side the lead with a free-kick that Pepe Reina should have done better with, but Theo Hernandez and Franck Kessie scored after the break.

Reina redeemed himself with a 93rd minute penalty save to preserve the three points, but Sunday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport stated it was ‘a victory that did not convince’.

Sky Italia journalist Matteo Moretta is reporting that Milan are continuing to evaluate the position of Giampaolo, with the win against Genoa doing little to quell any doubts.

As Di Marzio also reports, Boban in particular is not satisfied with the Rossoneri’s performances and is still seeing a team without a clear identity.

Meanwhile, Di Marzio also claimed that former Fiorentina and Inter boss Stefano Pioli reportedly believes he is a candidate to take over as Milan boss if Giampaolo is sacked.
