AC Milan have made their plans clear for Tommaso Pobega as he will return from his loan spell at Torino, according to a report.
According to what Luca Marchetti told Sky (via MilanNews), Pobega – who had an excellent season on loan at Torino under head coach Ivan Juric – will return to Milan where this time he seems to be destined to stay.
The young midfielder will first renew his contract with Rossoneri as a gesture of the faith they have in him, even though his current deal doesn’t expire until 2025. Then he will be part of Stefano Pioli’s squad for the 2022-2023 season.
Given he is a youth academy product, Pobega will be very useful in the composition of the UEFA squad lists which require a certain amount of academy graduates and home-grown players. After loans at Pordenone, Spezia and then Torino, it seems the 22-year-old is ready for the step up he wants.
Great news if true.
