Sky: Milan hit snag in defender deal as Spurs demand €20m; Conti and Calabria for sale

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to switch things up in the right-back position this summer with two players available and a target identified.

One of Milan’s main goals this summer to strengthen in the right-back position after the disappointing seasons that Davide Calabria and Andrea Conti endured.

According to Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Milan are in the market for a new starter and have identified Serge Aurier as a possible reinforcement in that area of the field.

In the event of a new arrival, one of the current right-backs will be sold. At the moment the departure of Calabria seems more likely than that of Conti, as his sale would generate pure capital gains which of course have the optimum positive effect on the balance sheet.

As for Aurier, there is an evaluation problem: Tottenham value him at around €20million, while Milan would like to spend less. Negotiations are continuing.
