Sky: Milan in talks with Real Madrid over signing of playmaker – ‘the signs are positive’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are strongly interested in the idea of signing Real Madrid playmaker Brahim Diaz this summer, according to a report.

The Rossoneri have been linked with a number of different playmaker targets as they appear determined to replace Giacomo Bonaventura, with the club credited with interest in the likes of Oscar Rodriguez and Aleksey Miranchuk.

According to what Gianluca Di Marzio reported for Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Milan are not only working on the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic but are also working to sign Brahim Diaz on loan from Real Madrid with an option to buy.

The former Manchester City man has struggled for game time since making the move to the Bernabeu from the Etihad Stadium, and Milan see him as the ideal target to increase quality in the attacking department.

The Milan management are working to find an agreement with Real Madrid who, however, is not willing to sell the 21-year-old outright because he is considered a great talent.

An agreement will have to be found between the three parties involved but ‘the signs are positive’, Di Marzio added.
