Sky: Milan lead PSG and Manchester City as the best away side in Europe

AC Milan are the leading team in Europe when it comes to away form, and the data has emerged that shows exactly why that is the case.

Sky (via MilanLive) report that Milan are the team in Europe’s ‘top five’ leagues with the highest number of away games won starting from the 2020-21 season, with 19 victories out of the 23 played away from home, plus 2 drawn and 2 lost.

In all, the Rossoneri have earned 59 points and scored 50 goals which puts them in sole possession of first place on the podium, with Paris Saint-Germain (17 wins) in second place. In third place are Manchester City and Napoli with 16 away wins each.

The latest success came last night at the Gewiss Stadium as Stefano Pioli’s men got the better of their Lombardy neighbours Atalanta. Goals from Davide Calabria, Sandro Tonali and Rafael Leao meant that the Diavolo ran out 3-2 victors against Gasperini’s side.
