Sky: Milan may finally be able to land Barcelona defender after failed January attempt

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have reignited their interest in Barcelona defender Junior Firpo and could get a deal done this time around, a report claims.

It has been well documented that Milan are on the lookout for a new full-back to become the deputy to Theo Hernandez and although Diego Laxalt is returning from his loan at Celtic, he does not seem to feature in the plans of the club and instead looks to be closing in on a move to Russia.

According to the latest from Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Milan are continuing to closely follow the situation surrounding Firpo, who the management have adjudged to be a very strong left-back and one who would be ideal to fill the role of deputy to Theo.

Milan tried for him in January, but he did not arrive because his son was being born and it would have just been a four-month loan. Now, with the baby born and with a whole season ahead including the Champions League, the deal could be done as the Rossoneri want him on loan.
