Sky: Milan meet agent of Kessie to discuss renewal – 100% pay rise requested

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have had a meeting with the agent of Franck Kessie – George Atangana – to discuss his renewal, according to a report.

According to Sky Italia (via MilanNews), there was a meeting between Kessie’s agent and Milan executives to discuss the renewal of his contract, which is set to expire in June 2022. The meeting was a positive one but it was not conclusive.

Milan have made their offer, higher than that made in recent months, but the parties have not yet reached an agreement. Currently the Ivorian earns €2.2m net per season, and his agent would like at least double in order to put pen to paper.

The Rossoneri have not yet succumbed to that demand, but have made their proposal which will be evaluated by the player and his agent. The currently offer is unlikely to be enough to reach an agreement and therefore more meetings will be needed to unlock the situation.
