Sky: Two new targets emerge as Milan look to respond to Thuram disappointment

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been forced to change strategy and look into new options for the centre-forward role with Inter closing in on landing Marcus Thuram, a report claims.

According to the latest from Sky, there are two names that stand out above all on the new wish list, with the first one being Gianluca Scamacca.

The West Ham striker is also wanted by Roma who have spoken to the player’s agents but do not have an agreement with his club.

The London side would like to sell the 24-year-old on a permanent basis, while the Giallorossi have asked for a loan deal. During this impasse, Milan could be ready to join the race with a bid of their own.

The other name the Rossoneri could work on in the next few hours is that of Alvaro Morata. He knows Italian football very well for having played in Serie A with Juventus, and therefore he represents a guarantee to work alongside Giroud.

The player has recently renewed with Atletico Madrid but this does not exclude the possibility of entering into negotiations with Los Colchoneros.

    1. Funny to see they acted all brave and galant in regards to Di Marco but hid like puss in boots when it comes to the sacking of Maldini and selling of Tonali.

    2. Curva accepts money you know. They are useless and has been useless since 2005. Curva suds leaders are charged with fraud pretty much every month. Go figure.

    1. It seems that they are just throwing names at the wall and hope that some stick.
There is no way Milan is interested in Morata

    1. Yea, these are tragic associations. I hope there’s no merit to this, or more importantly to the Lukaku rumors… Hopefully Moncada has other names in his pipeline.

  1. I will, and have, stomach a lot when it comes to Milan. But Morata is where i’ll draw the line.

If, from all the strikers that are in the world, Morata is the name they came up with those people can just walk of a cliff right now

      1. Agreed completely. When even Icardi would be preferable you know we’ve sunk to some low depths.

I wonder what the management are feeling now, do they have any idea of the fans frustrations? Or the players? Or do they think they can just type numbers on a screen and the team spirit/ harmony/ enthusiasm will happen automatically?

They’re probably toasting with champagne right now, dreaming of the next asset they can sell.

  2. I hope there will be no big player come to milan for this mercato, so the fans will have more reasons to boicot the capitalist owner. I don’t really mind even Milan will fall to serie B as long as it could throw-out the american capilatlist of the Milan ownership. Hurt, indeed.

  3. oh please if this is true than the management has really gone nuts! hey POLI where are you? hiding in your cave again???

  4. We are the causative of our own problems in every transfer season. Milan must be smart and wise with better strategies. Join AC Milan Fan base on +233248637248

  5. Scamacca is the one, money plus Origi….it’s a no brainier in which case Gerry and his clown show will mess it up

We are sooooo getting morata lol

  6. ACM can get scamacca if offer loan 5m euro with obligation to buy 30m euro . Westham rejected Roma offer loan with option to buy. Getting scamacca will unlock frattessi signing too, both are close friend and frattessi want to play together with scamacca in his interview

    1. Yeah, Agree. We have options with Scamacca. Moyes wants Origi too. It’s the perfect scenarios. 20m plus Origi perhaps loan for the first year

Scamacca and Giroud would be a great pair to rotate, he could also mentor him.

If we can’t land Frattesi, SMS in his final year and Scamacca with 115m then there’s an issue…for right wing I’d go for Orsolini, he knows Serie A and has a decent goal return at Bologna….

      1. Scammaca won’t score another 50 goals by the end of his career, are you blind? Honestly, he is a super fail. He will fail again. I’ll bet anyone any money that he will be a failure if he signs.

    2. Yeah, let’s sign the horrible player for 35M. Man you don’t know anything about football. Thanks for proving. Failmacca is so bad.

      1. I think Scamacca could be great, Maldini would have helped, if we can get Zlatan back at the club he’d have someone to kick him into shape

        1. He is useless. Man-child with 49 goals in his career at 24. That is the level of Paloschi and smilar players most of you don’t even remember.

          1. Well, my personal view is that Jose likes him and that’s a good thing. Jose likes big powerful strikers, he loved Zlatan and Drogba. Mourinho I think sees something in Scamacca. If we could get him around Zlatan and Giroud then he could really thrive at Milan i believe.

West Ham was a horse sh!t move from the start for him. It didn’t work in any level other than getting him out of Sassuolo

      2. Luca Toni was nothing till his late twenties then he started firing on all cylinders. Scamacca is a big man which makes it harder for him but he was improving and he got injured at West Ham will score 15 league goals at least if healthy but Roma will probably get him.

        1. You made it up. Why?

Luca Toni scored 30 goals in 1 season in Serie A when he was 24. FOR PALERMO. He repeated 20+ goals another 2 seasons after that. Before that he scored 10 + goals per season for clubs like Treviso and Vicenza.

Scammacca has a total of 49 goals in his career, including playing against farmers. Bad comparison. Scammacca is just bad, you will see I am right in the next few years. I’ll bet you he won’t score over 100 goals in his career. Maybe if we count where he scores 4 goals against amateurs like Cyprus fisherman that don’t even train. 😀

    3. Soooo….West Ham rejected Roma’s loan bid with option to buy but u think if we do the same exact thimg they’ll accept??? What? Make that make sense please. And Scam and Fratessi are friends therefore they’ll want to play together has to be one of the funniest things I’ve heard in a while lol 😂😂😂😂

  7. It’s a mystery how badly Gerry has f@cked this up, with Maldini and the existing team, including Sandro, all we needed was a CF, RW and CAM.

I’d love to hear Maldini’s comments right now

  8. Finally people are seeing what I had told everyone a long time ago. Tapeworm is a fckn disgrace to football. he thought it’s gonna be as ease as baseball but the dumbass didn’t consider the sheer amount of competition he will face in here.

THIS IS FOOTBALL. It aint a 40 player league like baseball. I don’t even know if there are 40 players worth noting there in the entire sport of baseball. That tapeworm didn’t even consider that there are clubs around Europe swimming in money and our tapeworm has the charm of a common gutterslug that won’t even draw the interest of third division players. Milan aint Toulouse. You can’t compete with half decent players at this high level of football.

The least we can expect is from that tapeworm is to sell Mike theo leao ben Kalulu, take the money.. and run leaving another disaster in Elliot’s hand to clean up because the stadium sure ain’t happening.

  9. These are just knee-jerk reactions from the tabloids after the Thuram fail. Scamacca is an expensive joke and Morata is too old by the new parameters.

The whole point of relying on Moncada more was to avoid associations to players like these. Not fun to be Furlani right about now.

  10. nonsense, if you like get linked to all the forwards in all the major and minor leagues, there’s no direction in this mercato
